It's not an area I've done too much work in, but I do have some interest in medical geography - or, more specifically, cultural geographies of illness & health.

A couple of years ago I was part of a small research team who carried out a sexual health needs assessment amongst gay and bi men for one of the London health authorities.

Also, I current earn my living running a project (based in one of the major London medical schools) to encourage bright working class kids from inner London to train as doctors and other health professionals. Through that project I've ended up teaching some basic medical sociology to high school kids and (occasionally) medical students in the first year of their training.

It's an area I wouldn't mind exploring further in the future
